The profession

As an industrial electronics technician (m/f/d) at Glencore Nordenham, you are an integral part of our dynamic team. You will take on exciting tasks that ensure our operational facilities run smoothly and that the energy supply within the plant is continuously maintained.

  • All About the Apprenticeship

    • Programming and Configuration: You develop and customize automation systems to optimize our production processes.

    • Maintenance and Repair: Regular maintenance work and quick repairs are part of your daily tasks.

    • Project Participation: You will be actively involved in the planning and implementation of new projects.

    • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: You identify and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth production.

    The training to become an industrial electronics technician (m/f/d) lasts 3.5 years. If you perform exceptionally well, you may be able to shorten the training period to three years. You will receive training both in our own workshop and at the vocational school location in Brake. Here, you will acquire all the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for your role with us.

    We expect you to have a secondary school diploma (Realschulabschluss) or an excellent lower secondary school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss). Additionally, you should have a strong interest in and good grades in mathematics, physics, and technology.
